: Something totally, mindblowingly, extraordinary, amazingly cool.

STAX TEAM SHOT.png

STAX was founded on a specific observation: specification-grade architectural materials from European manufacturers, particularly in Germany, Italy, and France, were simply not as accessible in the North American market. The products existed. The manufacturers had decades of architectural production behind them. What was missing was the infrastructure to bring them in correctly: the relationships, the technical knowledge, and the commitment to support them through the full specification and installation process.

That infrastructure is what STAX built.

The STAX Method

We spend time with manufacturers before we work with them. We understand how their materials perform over time, how they respond to installation conditions in North American climates, and where they sit in a project specification. We don’t carry products we can’t stand behind on a job site.

When you work with STAX, you’re not browsing a catalogue. You’re consulting with people who have already done the vetting.

Who We Work With

Our primary working relationships are with architects and interior designers. We speak specification language because that’s the language that matters at the point where material decisions are made. We also work with developers and builders who are executing those specifications, and we understand what that side of the table needs too.

If you are specifying a project and want a material partner who has already done the legwork, on product performance, certification, lead times, and site-level realities, that is exactly the conversation we are here for.

Partners

Every brand in the STAX portfolio was selected by the same criteria: material integrity, manufacturing discipline, and longevity. We represent Bette from Germany, Zazzeri from Italy, Edition Bougainville from France, and Aaline Lighting as a collaborative integration partner. These aren’t vendor relationships. They’re long-term commitments.

The Studio

Designed as an immersive, tactile environment, The STUDIO, located in Toronto’s Junction district, allows visitors to experience products through scale, texture, and context. It is a space for dialogue and thoughtful decision-making, where ideas are refined, not rushed, and where design is understood through experience rather than abstraction. Our work is guided by a respect for craftsmanship, close attention to detail, and a deliberate approach to design. At STAX, clarity, consistency, and a high level of service shape every collaboration. Book a Studio Session.
