Fusing an industrial aesthetic with the perception of delicate craftsmanship, the Kamen cabinet knob was inspired by the increasing popularity of high-end residential warehouse conversions.

Minimalism, mid-century modern interiors, and scandanavian designed furniture became increasingly popular in the mid-20th century, and now have widespread influence over contemporary interiors. The almost clinical ideal of simplicity portrayed in interiors today has lead many designers to integrate handles into joinery and furniture. This focus on the bare minimum, the removal of clutter and complexity from our daily lives, was what inspired the Montana range.
